Dreams for the future

The library does not currently have an office or building, and materials are kept in private storage. The ultimate dream for our future is a Bi+ Bookmobile that can travel for pop-up events in collaboration with other queer archives, libraries, youth centers, classrooms, etc, once COVID-19 is no longer a concern. We may also combine with a larger queer archive, offering our rarer materials as a special collection. But both those possibilities are a long way in the future. Some shorter-term goals for library services include:

  • A public searchable, tagged, & annotated digital archive of all 1500+ Bi+ books the library has identified.
  • Publicly searchable, tagged, & annotated directories for Bi+ musicians, films, television, and YouTubers.
